News and Notes
Covid-19 Update
  • We will continue offering the online service at 9:15 am.
  • 2nd service is reaching capacity for distancing. Be aware that we may not be able to ensure 6 feet between family units.
  • Face coverings are now optional for all services.
  • If you have questions about our gatherings, please contact either Pastor Brett or Pastor Daron.
  • Do not come if you have any of the COVID-19 symptoms or know that you have been exposed to the virus in the past 14 days.
Please understand we cannot guarantee that you will not be exposed to the virus at our gatherings.
Resources & Needs
Food, Supplies, and Finances
  • We are happy to serve as a connection point for those with needs during this time and those who can meet them. We realize many have resources in the form of family, neighbors, and others who can meet needs, but for those who find themselves in need of help, your brothers and sisters in Christ want to help. If you have a need (for example ,getting groceries to your home or you’re in need of a supply you can’t find), we would ask you follow these steps:
    • Contact your small group leader and see if the need can be met through the group. Your small group leaders are able to communicate to the church staff for needs that can’t be met through the small group.
    • If you don’t have connection to a small group, please email Pastor Daron.
  • We are also available to help and facilitate help to those for whom this crisis has impacted their job or business. For those in a time of hardship, we welcome you to email Pastor Daron, who will gather information related to the need and begin the process of how we might help.
    • If needs are brought, we will communicate opportunities to help to the church family.
  • Faith Community partners at Hancock Regional Hospital are available to help seniors with transportation since Senior Services is not currently available for that and also for delivery of food for shut ins.  If there is anyone at NPBC that could use this help, they call Laura Baker at 317-468-4142.
Prayer Requests
  • Lou Anne Cottingham is in need of housing. She has special needs due to her health condition. She needs a low/no – toxin environment. She is grateful for those who gave for the Christmas offering to help provide funds for her housing needs. We continue to collect funds for her through our online giving, checks, etc. specified for her.
  • Mike Smith is in need of a new job.
  • Pray for wisdom in these trying times for governing leaders at all levels of government and for their salvation (1 Tim. 2:1-4).
  • Pray for more gospel laborers to spread the news of peace that is available through Christ.
Please continue to pray for the requests regarding the COVID 19 situation:
  • Pray for those who are ill. Pray for healing.
  • Pray for protection for those who are most vulnerable to the virus.
  • Pray that the virus will die off, be contained and not spread as widely as predicted.
  • Pray for wisdom for governing authorities at the local, state, and national level.
  • Pray for health care workers’ safety, wisdom, and endurance.
  • Pray that the crisis causes those who do not yet know the Lord to consider His Gospel and believe in Christ.
  • Pray for opportunities to share the hope you have within.
  • Pray for elders and leaders in all churches to have wisdom to lead.

Please pray for the following related to our building project:

  • Pray for wisdom for the many decisions to be made in this journey.
  • Pray for safety for workers.
  • Pray for spiritual protection, as the enemy of our souls does not want us to have a greater capacity for disrupting his kingdom.

Let us know how we can pray for you.

NPBC Connect
As we make the most of our social distancing time, here are some ways to connect with your church family:
  • Sunday Live Stream: Watch with your church family.
  • Sisters of Strength Facebook Group: Ladies feel free to share some ideas for fun or learning activities for the kids or family and to lift up prayer requests and praises. To be added to the group, please email or message Ashley Day.
  • Men’s Facebook Group: In an effort to stay connected and encourage one another, we’ve started a Men’s Group Page. Send Pastor Daron an email or Facebook message to be added.
  • Google Hangouts (or other equivalent platforms): Some of our small groups are meeting this way through phones or computers. Search your app store or browser for Google Hangouts. If you have earplugs, this is a way for your kids to hang out with their friends from church.
  • Birthdays: We would like to collect everyone’s birthday as a way to connect with and celebrate one another! If you are willing to have this information made public just with our church body, please provide the birthdates of your family: month/date for ages 16 and up, and month/date/year for children under 16. Please send to Heidi Scott Darmer by email : or by text 317-402-4332. We have about half but would like to confirm accuracy.
Just meant to be a fun way to connect and get to know one another a bit better! Thanks!!
Prayer for your Neighbors
There is a helpful ministry tool to help us pray by name for our neighbors.
Pastors Brett and Daron have been using for several months as a tool for praying for our neighbors regularly. Check it out and consider using it to help you pray for your neighbors especially during these challenging days.
Blessed to be a blessing!
